Israeli Airstrikes Kill 32 Palestinians in Gaza Over 48 Hours
In the past 48 hours, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed at least 32 Palestinians and injured 193 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The attacks are part of Israel’s ongoing military campaign in the region, which has caused extensive destruction and loss of life since October 7, 2023.
A spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defence accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians and medical personnel as the war escalates. Humanitarian organizations have raised concerns about the growing civilian death toll and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that three military infantry battalions will be deployed to the northern West Bank to reinforce troop numbers. This move follows calls from far-right members of Israel’s government advocating for the annexation of Palestinian territories. The decision underscores the increasing tension in the occupied West Bank, where clashes and unrest have intensified.
The conflict has had devastating consequences on both sides. Since October 7, Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that over 46,537 Palestinians have been killed, with more than 109,571 injured. These numbers include women, children, and medical personnel. In Israel, at least 1,139 people lost their lives during the October 7 Hamas-led attacks, and more than 200 individuals remain captive.
The international community continues to call for a ceasefire and urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza, where the ongoing conflict has created one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history.
