Germain Hotels, in partnership with Reliance Properties, is set to bring a new boutique hotel to Vancouver by converting an office building on West Hastings. Scheduled to open in 2029, the 180-room hotel will be designed by LemayMichaud, integrating Canadian artistry with local influences.
Hugo Germain, Vice-President of Operations at Germain Hotels, called the expansion a “major milestone,” emphasizing the company’s commitment to impactful projects. Jon Stovell, CEO of Reliance Properties, highlighted the hotel’s role in addressing Vancouver’s hotel shortage and shaping its urban landscape.
Vancouver’s hotel market remains strong, with February data showing the highest occupancy and room rates in Canada, averaging 71.5% occupancy and a $216.16 daily rate.
