Capricorn Clark, a former top aide to Sean “Diddy” Combs, testified in federal court that the music mogul kidnapped her at gunpoint and threatened to kill rapper Kid Cudi during a violent outburst tied to Combs’ then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The explosive testimony marked a dramatic development in Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial in Manhattan.
Clark, who served as global brand director for Bad Boy Entertainment, recounted a December 2011 incident when Combs, angry that Ventura was allegedly dating Cudi, forced her into a black Escalade with a gun in hand, saying, “We’re going to kill Cudi.” Once outside Cudi’s Los Angeles home, Combs and a bodyguard entered the house while Clark called Ventura in panic, warning her that Combs was inside with intent to harm.
After the confrontation, Combs allegedly threatened to kill Clark and Ventura if they didn’t convince Cudi that Combs wasn’t responsible. Clark and Ventura then visited Cudi’s home to dissuade him from filing a police report.
Clark also described Combs’ brutal assault on Ventura, stating he kicked her repeatedly as she lay curled on the ground. The court ordered jurors to disregard that part of her testimony following an objection from Combs’ legal team.
Prosecutors allege Combs led a two-decade criminal enterprise marked by threats, abuse, and silence. Clark’s account also included threats from Combs on her first day in 2004 and alleged intimidation during a missing jewelry incident involving lie detector tests and threats of drowning.
Though she later attempted to rejoin Combs’ team in 2023 following federal raids on his properties, her offer was declined. Combs has pleaded not guilty and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
