Ekiti State Government Announces Recruitment of Teachers for Public Secondary Schools in Nigeria

The Ekiti State Government in Nigeria has officially announced the opening of job vacancies for qualified individuals to fill teaching positions in public secondary schools across the state. This major recruitment drive highlights the government’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of education and addressing staffing shortages within its secondary school system.

According to the announcement, the recruitment process will be coordinated by the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). Interested candidates are invited to apply for available teaching positions across various subjects, including sciences, arts, commercial, and technical fields.

Applicants must meet the required qualifications, such as holding a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in relevant subject areas. Additionally, candidates must have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or present a valid exemption certificate.

The Ekiti State Government reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-based recruitment process. All applicants will undergo a standardized examination to select highly capable and passionate educators who can drive positive change and foster academic excellence among students in the state’s public secondary schools.

The application portal will soon be made available online, and prospective candidates are encouraged to monitor the official TESCOM website and the Ekiti State Government’s communication channels for timely updates and comprehensive application guidelines.

This recruitment exercise is a critical part of broader efforts by the Ekiti State Government to uplift the standard of education in Nigeria, empower the youth, and strengthen human capacity development in the teaching sector.
