Ed Sheeran is set to bring his Mathematics tour to the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan in January 2024, marking a historic moment as the country’s first-ever international artist performance. The concert will take place on January 24 at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, the nation’s capital.
Tickets for the event, released on November 30, reflect Sheeran’s dedication to keeping his music accessible. Prices start at just $10, with premium tiers ranging from $31 to $101. However, international visitors planning to attend will also need to account for Bhutan’s $100 daily Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), introduced to promote cultural preservation and sustainable tourism.
The Grammy-winning artist will showcase songs from all his albums since 2011, including Plus, Multiply, Divide, Equals, and his latest release, Subtract. Known for chart-topping hits like Shape of You and Perfect, Sheeran’s performance in Bhutan is part of a larger leg of his tour covering India, China, the Middle East, and Europe.
The Mathematics tour, which began in Dublin in April 2022, will conclude in Düsseldorf, Germany, in September 2025. After more than three years of global performances, Sheeran’s visit to Bhutan is a testament to the universal appeal of his music and the growing reach of international concerts to new and unique destinations.
