Bota App Unveils Game-Changing AI Platform for Inventory Management at Exclusive Winnipeg Prelaunch

WINNIPEG, MB – Bota, an innovative new mobile platform, held her prelaunch event on Monday, May 19, at the Norwood Hotel in Winnipeg. This afforded media professionals and industry insiders a first-hand look at a transformative new solution designed to empower Canadians—individuals and businesses alike—to turn unused or excess inventory into valuable in-app currency.

The event which ran from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM,  unveiled Bota’s unique approach to sustainable commerce. The app allows users to list personal or commercial items while the AI , in this case, BO, does the rest – generating the product/service description, videos, and so on.

Attendees witnessed BO in action as the AI took a simple photo of a product and transformed it into a compelling product description, promotional video, and a shoppable QR code—all within 60 to 90 seconds.

“The Bota app is built with one goal: to help sellers sell.”  “AI isn’t taking jobs—it’s creating new ones. We’re providing tools that save time, boost productivity, and open up new streams of income.” said Micheal, one of the developers and a member of the Bota IT team.

He added that BO generates not only the listings but also promotional materials like shoppable reels, tracks orders, prints shipping labels, and helps sellers manage inventory more professionally and scalably.

Abiodun Omotoke, Bota’s Marketing Director, emphasized how user-friendly the platform is, particularly for small businesses and independent sellers.

“All it takes is a picture. You snap, and BO does the rest—descriptions, videos, QR codes, and even connecting you with the right buyers,” she explained. “Our Bota Points rewards system also lets both buyers and sellers earn in-app currency that can be used for future transactions or promotions.”

With its simple interface, the Bota app is ideal for solopreneurs, startups, and large-scale retailers looking for a smarter, AI-powered way to move excess stock and tap into a digital-first customer base.

Akeem, CEO and Co-founder of Bota, underscored the platform’s commitment to democratizing e-commerce.

“Whether you’re on Amazon, Shopify, or selling through traditional markets, Bota can amplify your reach. Just import your product link and our AI will generate optimized content and videos for you to share on social media,” said Akeem. “Our mission is to level the playing field—giving local businesses the same global reach and marketing capabilities as big-box retailers.”

He further explained how BO’s AI finds and targets users who have searched for similar products within the past 24 hours, offering precise and cost-effective advertising solutions.

Several community members and stakeholders expressed their enthusiasm for the launch. Adekunle Ajisebutu, a longtime supporter and collaborator, shared his pride in witnessing the evolution of Bota: “I’ve known the team for over six years, and seeing Bota come to life in our city is incredible. It’s something that can uplift our community and help small businesses thrive.”

Helena, another event attendee, praised the platform’s inclusivity and practicality: “This app is for everyone—regardless of background or experience. It’s easy to use, and I’m proud it was developed here in Winnipeg.”

With its successful prelaunch now in the books, Bota is preparing for a broader rollout across Canada. The team is focused on onboarding new sellers, refining the app’s features, and expanding partnerships with local businesses.

Bota Place invites all Canadians—whether independent artisans, side hustlers, or enterprise-level retailers—to download the app, snap a product photo, and let BO handle the rest.
