Blues’ Dylan Holloway Hospitalized After Neck Injury in Puck Strike, Stable and Alert

In a tense moment during Tuesday night’s game, St. Louis Blues forward Dylan Holloway was rushed to a St. Louis-area hospital after being struck in the neck by a puck late in the first period. Despite the frightening injury, the team has since confirmed that Holloway is alert and stable.

With 2:37 remaining in the first period against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Holloway was hit in the neck by a puck but impressively managed to complete his shift before skating to the bench. Soon after, teammates called for medical assistance, leading Blues’ trainer Ray Barile and medical staff from both teams to tend to Holloway. The 23-year-old forward was then carted off the ice on a stretcher, raising his arm as he was taken away.

Blues’ coach Drew Bannister compared the moment to hearing about a family member’s medical emergency, underscoring the impact on the team. Despite the unsettling event, the Blues regrouped during the intermission and later rallied from a 1-0 deficit, securing a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay.

Team captain Brayden Schenn praised the team’s resilience and focus, even under the emotional weight of Holloway’s injury. Fans and players alike are hopeful for his swift recovery.
