Air Canada has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for 2025, marking the seventh time in the past decade that the airline has received this distinction.
The annual list, compiled by Mediacorp’s editors through the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, evaluates companies based on their commitment to employment practices supporting five historically disadvantaged groups: women, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and individuals identifying within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Air Canada attributes its recognition to several key diversity initiatives, including outreach programs to underrepresented communities, partnerships with Canadian organizations and specialty colleges offering scholarships for aspiring pilots and aircraft mechanics, a strong internal governance structure promoting inclusion at all levels, and workforce diversity celebrations through Employee Resource Groups and inclusion champions.
“We are very proud to be recognized again for our longstanding workplace diversity. As a global company connecting Canada to over 55 countries across the six inhabited continents, we have long subscribed to the importance of reflecting the best of Canada to our employees, customers and stakeholders,” said Arielle Meloul-Wechsler, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Public Affairs at Air Canada.
