The MEO has dubbed this federal campaign the most “dystopian” in Canadian history due to the surge of AI-generated content flooding social media.
While the sheer volume of AI-created material is alarming, Bridgman emphasized that no concrete evidence has surfaced showing that Canadians have been manipulated or persuaded by false information. Nevertheless, he warns that the risk is real and could escalate if unchecked.
