The School of Politics, Policy, and Governance has expressed confidence about Africa’s future.
It said inclusive governance and collective efforts by citizens, will reposition the continent to become a global leader in development
This was made known by the founder of the school Dr Oby Ezekwesili, as the school hosted the Africa Conference in Abuja. The conference brought together representatives from 12 African countries, to foster collaboration in the pursuit of ethical leadership and governance reform.
The former Nigerian federal minister says that the school has continued to serve as a breeding ground for leaders with character, competence, and capacity, that will prioritise public good over self-interest
According to her, to be ready for this, Africa needs disruptive leaders who are constantly invested in finding better solutions to problems of their communities, countries and the world.
The SPPG is an unconventional school of the research-anchored #FixPolitics initiative that is designed to transform the quality of political and public leadership in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
This innovative leadership school is invested in developing a massive pipeline of value-based and disruptive thinking political-class equipped with the requisite knowledge, skills, and mindset to solve complex leadership problems to reposition Africa in the 21st Century.
The SPPG has a continental focus and commenced in Nigeria in 2020 with expansion plans into Senegal in 2023, as the step before six other countries.
