Judge overturns $4.7 billion verdict in “Sunday Ticket” case against NFL

In a stunning turn of events, a federal judge has overturned a $4.7 billion verdict in the highly publicized “Sunday Ticket” case against the National Football League (NFL). The ruling, which was handed down on Tuesday, marks a major victory for the NFL and its legal team, who have been embroiled in this legal battle for several years now.

The case, which was originally filed by a group of fans in 2015, alleged that the NFL had engaged in anti-competitive practices by bundling the popular “Sunday Ticket” package with DirecTV, effectively limiting fans’ options for watching out-of-market games.
