Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman Reunite as The Guess Who After 23-Year Break

Founding members Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman will reunite as The Guess Who for the first time in over two decades, setting the stage for a landmark performance aboard the Rock Legends Cruise XIII in 2026. The pair, who haven’t performed under the band’s name since their split, will join a star-studded lineup including Gene Simmons, Eric Burdon and The Animals, and Kevin Cronin.

The reunion, announced via Instagram, marks the first time in 23 years that Cummings and Bachman will perform officially as The Guess Who. In the years since their last collaboration under the band name, the duo has toured separately and as Bachman Cummings or Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

The comeback follows a major legal victory: in 2023, Bachman and Cummings filed a lawsuit against original bandmates Jim Kale and Garry Peterson, accusing them of misleading fans by using the band name for what they called a “cover band.” The dispute ended with Bachman and Cummings securing full trademark rights to The Guess Who.

Now, the iconic Canadian rockers will headline the Rock Legends Cruise XIII, sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Jamaica from February 23–27, 2026, promising fans a long-awaited return of a legendary sound.
