A semi-trailer was tipped over by strong winds on westbound Highway 1 near Portage la Prairie on Monday, causing a partial closure of the highway. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 1 and Road 42 W. The wind, with gusts reaching up to 57 km/h, caused the semi-trailer, which was being towed, to overturn, as reported by Portage la Prairie RCMP.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The highway was partially closed on the right side of the overturned trailer. According to a Manitoba 511 alert, the road was fully reopened around 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
