Prime Minister Mark Carney says visa and mobility rules are among the issues being discussed as Canada seeks to deepen its relationship with the European Union, although he emphasized that no changes have been finalized.
Carney made the comments as he travels to Europe to strengthen Canada’s economic and strategic ties with the 27-member bloc amid worsening trade tensions with the United States.
The discussions could include measures that make it easier for Canadians and Europeans to live, work or study across the Atlantic, as Ottawa pursues a broader partnership with Europe.
