WestJet is strengthening its Trans-Pacific network with newly expanded nonstop service between Calgary and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT), making it easier for Canadians to access Asia. Beginning October 27, 2025, the route will operate daily year-round, extending beyond the previously scheduled seasonal end date of October 26.
The decision follows strong performance on both sides of the Pacific since the route’s launch, with WestJet’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet supporting continued growth in tourism and trade between Canada and Asia.
“This expansion reaffirms our commitment to enhancing Canadians’ access to Asia and supporting economic growth in Western Canada,” said John Weatherill, WestJet EVP and Chief Commercial Officer.
In addition to the extended flight schedule, WestJet is enhancing its codeshare with Japan Airlines. Travelers flying into Tokyo will now enjoy seamless connections to Osaka (Itami) and Nagoya, all on a single ticket with baggage transfers and the ability to earn WestJet Dollars.
The expanded partnership opens more doors for Canadian travelers seeking convenient, affordable access to Japan’s top destinations.
