Missing Winnipeg Teen Found Safe, Selkirk RCMP Confirms

A 17-year-old girl who was reported missing earlier this month has been found safe, Selkirk RCMP confirmed Tuesday.

The teenager was last seen at a home in northwest Winnipeg around 8 p.m. on March 8. When she failed to return home, authorities were alerted, and she was officially reported missing in the early morning hours of March 9.

RCMP launched an investigation and issued a public update earlier on Tuesday, expressing concern that the girl was at risk of being exploited. Police urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the importance of locating her quickly.

Following search efforts and community awareness, RCMP later confirmed that the teenager had been found and was now back home. Authorities did not disclose further details about where she was located or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Police thanked the public for their assistance and reminded the community of the importance of reporting missing persons cases promptly. They also reiterated their commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals from potential harm.
