Winnipeg Blue Bombers Re-Sign Star Receiver Dalton Schoen to One-Year Deal

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have secured All-CFL receiver Dalton Schoen with a one-year contract extension.

Schoen, set to return for his fourth season in Winnipeg, was originally slated to enter free agency on Feb. 11.

The 28-year-old wideout played just three games in 2024 before a season-ending knee injury in Week 3 against the BC Lions.

During the 2022-23 seasons, Schoen tallied 141 receptions, 2,663 yards, and 26 touchdowns across 34 games, earning West Division and CFL All-Star honors both years.

In his rookie CFL season in 2022, Schoen dominated with a league-leading 1,441 receiving yards on 70 receptions, tying for the most touchdowns (16) and securing the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie award.

A Kansas State graduate, Schoen initially signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 but was waived the same year. He later had practice squad stints with Washington and Kansas City.
