Alexander Brothers Convicted of Sex Trafficking in Case That Shook the Luxury Real Estate World

Three brothers, including two of the United States’ most prominent luxury real estate brokers, were convicted Monday on sex trafficking charges after a five-week federal trial that exposed disturbing allegations involving drugs, coercion, and sexual assault.

A New York jury found twins Oren Alexander and Alon Alexander, 38, along with their older brother Tal Alexander, 39, guilty after prosecutors presented testimony from multiple women who said the brothers used their wealth, influence, and lavish lifestyle to lure them before sexually assaulting them. The high-profile case has drawn widespread attention because of the brothers’ former status as successful figures in the luxury real estate industry.

During the trial, 11 women testified that they were sexually assaulted by one or more of the brothers. As the verdict was read in court, the jury foreperson repeated the word “guilty” 19 times while addressing the charges considered by jurors. All three defendants shook their heads during the announcement, while Tal Alexander lowered his head into his folded arms.

Federal prosecutors said the assaults often occurred after women were invited to exclusive trips and social gatherings organized by the brothers. Testimony described incidents that allegedly took place during luxury vacations in locations such as the Hamptons in New York, a Caribbean cruise, and ski trips in Aspen, Colorado.

Authorities also revealed that more than 60 women have accused one or more of the brothers of rape, according to prosecutors involved in the case. Investigators alleged that the brothers used drugs and intimidation to assault victims who had initially been attracted by their glamorous lifestyle and connections within elite social circles.

The brothers remain in custody and are scheduled to be sentenced on August 6, where they could face life in prison under federal sentencing guidelines.

U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton said the case highlights how sex trafficking crimes remain widespread across society and often go unreported. He emphasized that federal authorities remain committed to pursuing such cases regardless of the industry or social status of those involved.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo, speaking outside the courthouse after the verdict, said the outcome was disappointing but confirmed that the legal team intends to continue fighting the case through the appeals process. He said the defendants were deeply disappointed with the verdict and that several issues would likely be raised in future appeals.

The conviction has sent shockwaves through the luxury real estate world, where the Alexander brothers had built a reputation representing high-end clients and multimillion-dollar properties. The case is now being viewed as one of the most significant criminal scandals to emerge from the elite real estate sector in recent years.
