Barron Trump Praised for Podcast Strategy as Key to Election Win Over Harris

Trump’s Joe Rogan Appearance Garners Over 50 Million Views on YouTube

Former Democratic donor and Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan credited Barron Trump, the youngest son of President-elect Donald Trump, for shaping a critical aspect of his father’s winning campaign strategy. Speaking Wednesday, Morgan said Barron’s advice to embrace popular podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience played a pivotal role in defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Barron Trump, who looks like a runway model, was telling his father, ‘You need to go on podcasts, you need to go on Joe Rogan,’” Morgan remarked, lauding the young Trump’s foresight.

The Impact of Podcast Strategy

Trump’s October 25 appearance on Rogan’s show has become a cultural sensation, amassing over 50 million views on YouTube. In contrast, Harris’s October 6 interview on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast has struggled to reach 1 million views, highlighting a significant disparity in reach and engagement.

Morgan criticized the Harris campaign for failing to capitalize on the podcasting trend, pointing out the progressive hesitation to engage with Rogan’s platform. “Barron Trump is a lot smarter than everybody in the Harris [campaign],” Morgan said, adding that ignoring Rogan was a major misstep.

“They played hide the ball, they lost badly, and she should go away and never, ever come back,” he added.

Harris Criticized as a Poor Obama Imitation

Morgan also took aim at Harris’s campaign style, accusing her of attempting to replicate former President Barack Obama’s approach without success.

“[Harris] thinks she’s Obama. She goes to Hawaii because Obama goes to Hawaii. She started talking like Obama, imitating Obama,” Morgan said. “She is not Barack Obama. She has no talent. She can never run for president again.”

Morgan revealed that he had previously advised against positioning Harris as the Democratic frontrunner, noting her close association with President Biden would hinder her campaign. “She was going to be tethered to Biden no matter what,” he said.

Lessons from the Campaign

The stark contrast between Trump’s and Harris’s media strategies underscores the growing importance of connecting with audiences through nontraditional platforms like podcasts. Trump’s ability to tap into Joe Rogan’s massive audience, guided by his son’s insight, proved to be a winning formula.

Morgan’s comments highlight frustrations within Democratic circles over missed opportunities to engage with broader audiences. As the dust settles on the election, the podcasting landscape is likely to remain a critical battleground for future campaigns.
